The Honourable Lennox Wayne Anderson-Jackson, JP

Appointed 4 April 2025Installed in Hanover 17 July 2025

A native of Hanover, the Honourable Lennox Wayne Anderson-Jackson, JP serves as the Governor-General’s representative and first citizen of the parish. He received the Instrument of Office at King’s House on 4 April 2025 and was formally installed at Rusea’s High School in Lucea on 17 July 2025.

A businessman, medical imaging practitioner and counselling psychologist, Custos Anderson-Jackson has pledged to lead with fairness, integrity and action. His responsibilities include guiding Hanover’s Justices of the Peace, supporting the appointment and swearing-in of new JPs, promoting civic pride and strengthening community service across the parish.

Former President of the Hanover Justices of the Peace Association. She was elected President for the 2023–2024 administrative year after previously serving as Vice-President, continuing the Association’s tradition of community-focused leadership.

How the process works

A Justice of the Peace is a voluntary public officer expected to demonstrate integrity, public trust and meaningful community service.

1Complete the prescribed application and submit it to the Custos for the parish where you live or work.
2Background review and consideration by the parish JP Advisory Committee.
3Complete qualifying training through the Justice Training Institute.
4Successful candidates proceed through recommendation and formal appointment.

No. JP service is voluntary and a JP must not charge or accept a reward for services performed in the office.
Applicants must be at least 23 years old and meet the other statutory criteria.
The completed application is submitted to the Custos for the parish where the applicant resides or works.
